Thinking about what to write for a blog post can sometimes get my mind spinning…there is so much that I want to talk about that it gives me real analysis paralysis!!! And in this day and age the pull on our attention coupled with our seemingly lack of attention span, it’s no wonder that so many of us find a real struggle with choice and narrowing down our ideas!

Add on top of this the real feeling that time is steadily increasing in speed…seriously where the heck do the days and weeks go???

So to keep it simple for my brain this week and to share a bit of the behind the scenes in my world I thought I’d share a day in the life! Now every day is different because as a yoga teacher and wellness practitioner my schedule is literally all over the place! Even right now as I write this I’m remembering an email that I need to send to a studio owner about an upcoming training…so we pause…write the email, fire it off…and now we are back!

Life as an entrepreneur and this is how my brain works, lol, with so many balls in the air I’m sometimes bouncing from one thing to the next without rhyme or reason…to the outside eye. It actually works well for me and allows me to be more in flow with creativity than if I was guided by strict scheduling.

So it’s Monday - I wake up around 7am and start my morning practice. This starts with a dinacharya routine, an ayurvedic cleansing practice. Brush teeth, scrape tongue, cold face wash. Next is my favourite time and the most valuable time of my day - Sadhana, this is my morning practice, filled with spiritual connection, meditation, mantra, journaling and whatever else is calling to my heart. Sadhana is truly the key to creating the life of my dreams!

I’m going to bullet the next bits as it is kinda a lot for paragraph form (imo). So my day goes like this post-Sadhana:

  • Answer emails, start content creation, post on Social media for my business Linkedin, TikTok

  • Clean and prep the yoga room for my private clients

  • In-person client yoga therapy session

  • Back to content creation, create copy, videos, write this blog, create weekly email

  • Flip the in-person set up in the yoga room to a virtual client set-up

  • Zoom call with Sound Healing peer

  • Take a moment to ground in nature - aka put my feet on the Earth

  • Virtual client yoga therapy session

  • Walk in nature - fuel my soul

  • Cold Shower - calm the high Pitta dosha!

  • Film content for my membership HIVE

  • Volunteer Board Meeting - SCAHS

  • Finish content creation, blog post & weekly email

  • Post on additional social media account for business Instagram & Twitter

  • Write email follow-ups for clients

  • Down time with the hubby!

  • Evening routine & personal practice

  • Sleep

I know this looks like a lot and it is BUT the day flows with ease and it feels really good to be working away at something I love - helping people, supporting their healing process, and creating accessible wellness content. And yes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner was in the mix and I only multi-tasked with my meals a little bit ( I’m not a fan of eating while working…I like space with my meals! ).

So! There we have it a little peak into a day in the life of a sound healer, yogi, entrepreneur and human living her best life!!

It’s all about finding the balance of all the things that works for you! Balance is not a cookie cutter formula, it’s personal, individual, and ever-changing! Let it flow…that is life…it’s meant to flow. And trust me there are a lot of days that are NOT this productive…but ya’ caught me working in the flow! :)
